How does MESS Diary work?
MESS Diary is a comprehensive mess management platform. Mess owners create profiles, students join via QR codes or invitations, and the system automatically tracks meals, generates invoices, and processes payments. Everything is streamlined for both mess owners and students.
Is Mess diary free to use?
Core features are free for up to 15 students per mess. For larger groups and premium features like advanced analytics, priority support, and flexible subscription plans, affordable paid options are available.
Is there a free trial available?
Yes! We also provide a 30-day free trial with full access to all features—no credit card required. Explore everything and see how Mess Diary simplifies mess management before upgrading to a paid plan.
How do students join my mess?
Students can join in two ways: Student can scan QR code and send join request, or you can manually add and join your mess directly through the app. Our bidirectional joining system makes onboarding incredibly simple and fast.
How does attendance tracking work?
Attendance is tracked automatically for each meal (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner). You (Mess owner) mark their attendance through the app, and all data is recorded in real-time. You get instant insights into meal consumption patterns and can generate accurate invoices based on actual attendance.
What payment methods are supported?
Currently we provide manual payment tracking. In future, we plan to integrate popular payment gateways to support credit/debit cards, E-sewa, Khalti and other local payment methods. This will make mess fee collection seamless and hassle-free for both mess owners and students.
Can I customize subscription plans?
Absolutely! You can create flexible subscription plans - monthly, quartely, semi-annual and yearly. Set different pricing for different meal combinations, offer discounts for longer commitments, and create special plans for different student groups.
Is my data secure?
Yes, security is our top priority. All data is encrypted and stored securely. We follow industry-standard security practices to protect your information and ensure complete privacy for both mess owners and students.
Can I delete my mess account?
Yes, you can delete your mess account at any time from the app. Please note that deleting your account will permanently remove all data associated with your mess, including student records, attendance history, and invoices. Make sure to back up any important information before proceeding with account deletion.
